About Sara
Having spent most of my working life in an office and feeling the effects of being desk bound I decided to embark on a life changing course, at Bodyology in London, to become a Holistic Massage Therapist. I chose the course as I wanted to have a full understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the body and also the teaching style was very hands on.
During my 9 months training my eyes were opened to the wonders of the human body and how amazing the therapy of touch can be. Having qualified with the Massage Training Institute I have the opportunity to keep my CPD up to date by regular meetings throughout the year.
Further training in seated events massage has allowed me to develop my on-site massage business. Using an ergonomic comfortable chair I visit businesses and offer fully clothed 20 or 30 minute treatments.
Indian Head Massage seemed the next step for me as the treatment is ideal for back, neck and head tension. It was fascinating to learn about Ayurvedic medicine,as it is one of the world's oldest holistic (“whole-body”) healing systems, developed 3,000 years ago in India.
I have a keen interest in helping people improve their posture through massage and exercise, as many of us suffer from back, neck and shoulder problems often caused by computer work and driving. I have furthered this interest by attending a Postural Assessment workshop.
My passions are fitness and nutrition and I enjoy many sporting activities such as running, tennis and Pilates.
